Policy

One of the main reasons that make this project innovative is the policy-practice-research link that adopts in the approach proposed as a basis to support innovation and establish the conditions to launch strategic Lifelong learning initiatives, that is:

  • Research to be aware of innovative practice an policy priorities to propose a relevant agenda,
  • Practice to use research results and to influence policy priorities.
  • As for the ORGANISATION OF THE ACTIVITIES.

In order to obtain a comprehensive picture of the state of the art of each Learning region, the existing initiatives and approaches (WP1) will be studied in the Regions involved and a consultative learning audit (WP2) will be carried out to have the synthesis view of the learning needs within the Region*.

A conceptual Framework for Analysis (WP3) will be defined to serve as basis for the Learning Regions Forum (WP4) which will be the basis to elaborate methods and tools for both policy makers and research community to be used by the regions (WPs 6 and 7), in order to evaluate lifelong learning policies and measure the impact/outcome and to disseminate the new knowledge (WP 8) developed within the project in the direction of both, the research community and the regional political administration, through a wide range of events and publications.

A Transnational Inter-regional cooperation Laboratory (WP5) will be launched as platform to test innovative strategies and new initiatives with a view of becoming and innovation learning laboratory at regional level.

All these activities will be accompanied by a overall management and evaluation system (WP9) that will monitor the project and watch over to accomplish the aims and objectives stated in this proposal.


*For this purpose, the Commission Staff Working Document Lifelong Learning Practice And Indicators will be taken into consideration.
