The actions will cover the following topics:

• Professional analysis and comparison of the role of mentor among France, Greece, Italy and Spain, in particular as for skills, duties, professional fields, services and relationships (i.e. professional or church or police to youth, athlete to athlete, adult to pupil, employee to employee, etc.) with a view to assuring the quality standards in mentoring programmes;
  
  
• Training needs analysis and in-depth investigation of the competences requested to the mentor, through interviews and questionnaires; project design and organisation of the above mentioned interviews and questionnaires;
  
  
• Analysis of the role of private and public institutions which supply mentoring services, investigating their field of action, their mutual relationship and their official recognition.
  
  
• Assessment of the information gathered, with the support of a group of external experts to validate and integrate the results achieved, with experts coming from several European countries, including the most experienced country in Europe as for mentoring, the United Kingdom;
  
  
• Identification, analysis and evaluation of best practices and models about mentoring at European level;
  
  
• Awareness raising between the social and economic parties and ordinary citizens regarding the activities promoted;
  
  
• Editing of a final report per country and of a transnational multilingual report summarizing the key issues, presenting the best practices and proposing
  recommendations for further implementation;
  
  
• Organisation of a final transnational conference, to be organised in Italy, to present and discuss the project's outcomes and to debate further joint activities at European level.
